Former Lion President, Roy Mee, has presented a cheque from the Scunthorpe Lions for £1500 to Scunthorpe General Hospital’s NICU department as his final donation. Senior Nurse Laura Parker and Staff Nurse Maxine Gowland, accepted the cheque on behalf of the NICU unit.
Some of the money has been used to buy 2 new beds to replace the old ones in the flats that are available to parents who need to stay in the hospital with their premature babies and the rest is to be used on the refurbishment of 3 nurseries.
Roy had chosen the NICU as his Presidential Funding Project and we are proud to support the hospital in its development projects.
